Sex Ed Week Trivia

21+ Public Event Join us for Sex Ed Trivia Night on Thursday, February 8th at Bell’s Brewery! Play in teams of 4 or less and compete to win fantastic prizes while you test your sexpertise. While you’re there, pick up some resources and free swag from Planned Parenthood of MI, Planned Parenthood Advocates of MI, and CARES. Come on out, show us what you know, and maybe even learn a thing or two! Teams consist of four people, and tables are available on a first come, first served basis. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

Artist Happy Hour: Job Fair – Performers, Educators, Creators

Artist Happy Hour: Job Fair is a free event collaboration between the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo RESA’s Education for the Arts, and many local arts and education organizations interested in recruiting, training, and sustaining artists in Kalamazoo. Participate in a panel discussion with Dwandra Nickole Lampkin, Marisa Bianan, and Nicholas Jeffrey about their paths to becoming working artists as educators, gig workers, and performers. After the panel, attendees will begin networking with dozens of local organizations actively hiring artists for various roles. Schedule of Event 1:30-2:00 Doors open 2:00-2:45 Panel Discussion 2:45-4:00 Job Fair There is no fee to attend but registration is encouraged so we know approximately how many to expect – REGISTER HERE!

21+ Public Event Calling all smarty pints! Grab your friends and come down to the Back Room for trivia. Teams consist of four people, and tables are available on a first come, first served basis. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

Snow Jog 2024

Must have valid photo ID to verify age (21+) at the start of the event Event Time: Saturday, January 13th 12-4pm Ticket Price: $70 per team Join us as we kick off Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week with Snow Jog! Tickets go on sale on Thursday December 14th at 10am. Tickets are $70 per team (2 people per team) plus a minimum of 2 non-perishable food items. All food donations benefit our charity partner, Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes. The race includes stops at a variety of downtown bar and retail accounts, offering our beer (for purchase) and Snow Jogger challenges. The best part? You can create your own route! All you have to do is complete 5 out of 11 challenges to receive your Snow Jogger prize! Each team (2 people) will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize drawing. Please note: You do not need to be present to win the Grand Prize. A few things to note: In no particular order, here are the race stops. This year Snow Jog will end at the Kalamazoo State Theatre with the costume contest happening on Kalamazoo’s historic stage! Shakespeare’s  Burdick’s Hopcat Green Top Louie’s Hub Tavern LFG Rugger’s Up & Under Waldo’s University Roadhouse High Dive – This event is 21+- Please drink responsibly!- No wheels. This race must be completed on foot.- Packet pickup time is Friday, January 12th from 5-8pm at Shakespeare’s Pub- Saturday, January 13th from 11am until the start of the race at the Eccentric Café- Race announcements begin at 11:45am- The start line is in Bell’s Beer Garden- Ending at the State Theater – Costume Contest will begin at 4:30pm after awards- This is a rain or shine event. Rules & Regulations will be included in your packet with your race bib, passport, and route map.- Be sure to dress for the occasion!
